About the Opportunity
This position is located in our Victoriaville facility within the Established Pharmaceuticals division (EPD). In EPD, we are dedicated to bringing the benefits of trusted medications to individuals in rapidly growing regions around the world.
Our extensive portfolio of high-quality and differentiated branded generic medicines spans various therapeutic areas, including gastroenterology, women's health, cardiometabolic conditions, pain management/central nervous system disorders, and respiratory health.
Your Responsibilities- Oversee and plan the maintenance and coordination of work on building infrastructure and production equipment.
- Monitor the team's daily progress on critical tasks and ensure adherence to established standards and targets. Review work orders for accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with other departments, particularly during scheduled maintenance shutdowns, to plan and coordinate departmental activities effectively.
- Provide support to your team in achieving objectives and implement strategies to facilitate their success.
- Promote and uphold rigorous occupational health and safety standards, as well as quality control measures throughout the department.
- Manage the department's budget effectively and responsibly.
- Investigate and take immediate action in cases of major equipment failures or recurring breakdowns.
- Lead and manage both the maintenance technician team and the instrumentation team.
- Develop and implement schedules and activities for the team to ensure optimal workflow and productivity.
- Step in as the manager when required, assuming their responsibilities effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Fluency in both French and English.
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
- 1 year of experience working within a maintenance department, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
- 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering or maintenance supervision.
- Proven experience in budget management and financial oversight.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
- Excellent decision-making abilities and sound judgment.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex maintenance challenges.
- A strong sense of responsibility, organization, and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in maintenance planning and scheduling.
- Familiarity with automation systems is an asset.
