About the Job

Calm Air International is a regional airline operating in Central Canada's Northern region. With a strong presence in Winnipeg, Thompson, Churchill, Manitoba, and Rankin Inlet, Nunavut, Calm Air runs regular passenger, charter, and cargo flights around Manitoba and the Kivalliq Region of Nunavut.

We are seeking a proactive, organized individual to become a part of the Calm Air family. As the Facilities Assistant Manager, you will lead building maintenance employees, oversee repairs, maintenance, renovations, and construction, and manage project timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Plan and organize facility projects, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
  • Supervision: Supervise maintenance staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work.
  • Facility Management: Oversee repairs, maintenance, renovations, and construction, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Financial Management: Review budgets and plans, making adjustments as necessary to ensure optimal resource allocation.
  • Supply Chain Management: Coordinate the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
  • Employee Management: Handle payroll and employee management, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure a safe working environment, adhering to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and Skills: Proficiency in maintenance equipment and building materials, ability to interpret plans, and project management skills.
  • Physical Demands: Heavy lifting capability and travel readiness.
  • Security Clearance: Eligibility for security clearance.
  • Language Proficiency: Inuktitut language proficiency is a plus.
