Job Title: Fire Alarm Systems Specialist

Siemens Canada Limited is seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Systems Specialist to join our team. As a Fire Alarm Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems in the Greater Toronto Area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete annual and system inspections to ensure compliance with fire codes and regulations.
  • Perform installations, verifications, testing, inspections, and repairs on fire alarm systems.
  • Equipment installation and panel programming as needed.
  • Complete verification and system readings to ensure optimal system operation.
  • Submit written service reports covering all aspects of each assignment and activity.
  • Participate in the Installation to Service handovers on assigned jobs.
  • Work towards project schedules and maintain regular communication on the status and execution of projects assigned.
  • Represent the company at customer sites professionally at all times.
  • Update the Site database to keep records current.
  • Make recommendations for improvement or system change.
  • Work closely with other teams to maintain customer satisfaction and quality assurance procedures.
  • Adhere to the Health and Safety at Work Act at all times.
Requirements:
  • Minimum College Education in Electronics.
  • Minimum 2+ years' experience in service and maintenance of fire alarm systems.
  • Installation of equipment and panel programming experience.
  • Valid CFAA (Canadian Fire Alarm Association) certification.
  • Proven diagnostic skills – able to systematically identify and resolve technical problems.
  • Knowledge of IP Networks, C-Cure systems, and MS-Office.
  • Customer-focused and good customer relationship building and management skills.
  • Self-motivated and calm under pressure.
  • Good understanding of Building and Fire codes.
  • Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing.
