Job Title: Fire Alarm Systems Specialist

At Siemens Canada Limited, we are seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Systems Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our fire alarm systems, providing top-notch technical support to our customers, and contributing to the growth and success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete annual and system inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Perform installations, verifications, testing, inspections, and repairs on fire alarm systems, including equipment installation and panel programming as needed.
  • Complete verification and system readings to ensure optimal system operation.
  • Submit written service reports covering all aspects of each assignment and activity, and maintain accurate site files.
  • Participate in the Installation to Service handovers on assigned jobs, and work towards project schedules and work packages received from supervisors and project managers.
  • Represent the company at customer sites professionally at all times, and update site databases to keep records current.
  • Make recommendations for improvement or system change, and work closely with other teams to maintain customer satisfaction and quality assurance procedures.
  • Adhere to the Health and Safety at Work Act at all times, and ensure all damaged or faulty equipment is returned to the warehouse with appropriate documentation.
Requirements:
  • Minimum College Education in Electronics.
  • Minimum 2+ years' experience in service and maintenance of fire alarm systems.
  • Installation of equipment and panel programming experience.
  • Valid CFAA (Canadian Fire Alarm Association) certification.
  • Proven diagnostic skills, able to systematically identify and resolve technical problems.
  • Knowledge of IP Networks, C-Cure systems, and MS-Office.
  • Customer-focused and good customer relationship building and management skills.
  • Self-motivated and calm under pressure.
  • Good understanding of Building and Fire codes.
  • Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing.
  • Preferred - Experience with Siemens Fire Alarm systems.
