Store Operations Leader

Position Overview:
Are you knowledgeable about customer experiences and the beverage alcohol sector? In this leadership role within the LCBO, you will report directly to the Store Manager and be responsible for cultivating a strong team within the store. Your daily focus will be on achieving store objectives while promoting responsible retail practices.

This position requires full-time, in-person engagement at a store located in the Greater Toronto Area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences as the go-to destination for premium wines, beers, and spirits.
  • Foster a customer-first culture by leading a team dedicated to excellence in all operational aspects and program implementations.
  • Possess a comprehensive skill set in customer service, inventory oversight, financial stewardship, merchandising, and retail sales.
  • Demonstrate dynamic leadership in critical areas such as Customer Service, Human Resources, Business Management, Inventory Control, and Sales & Marketing.
  • Exhibit strong leadership, team-building, interpersonal, and communication capabilities.
  • Assess additional competencies including knowledge of social responsibility, facilities management, resource protection, health & safety, and workplace diversity.
  • Proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and web-based ordering systems.
  • Act as a dedicated mentor and coach to your team.
Candidate Profile
  • Possess a customer-focused mindset, enjoying active engagement on the store floor and supporting community initiatives.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Enjoy providing constructive feedback and empowering team members in real-time.
  • Exhibit excellence in operational execution within the store.
  • Have a strong grasp of store performance metrics, including sales forecasting and expense analysis, to drive business growth.
  • Bring a minimum of 5 years of progressive retail experience in roles such as Store Manager, Assistant Manager, Trainer, or District Manager.
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience is required; a college diploma or university degree in business or retail management is advantageous.
  • Experience in managing unionized staff is a plus.
