Job Title: Human Resources Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team at JSP Insurance & Financial Services Inc.

Job Summary:

The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the HR department, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and compensation analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer staff consultation and grievance procedures to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
  • Assign projects to subordinates and staff relating to employment, compensation, labour relations, and employee relations to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Coordinate the activities of the HR department to ensure they meet the organization's objectives.
  • Direct and control daily operations to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Direct staff to achieve high levels of performance and productivity.
  • Evaluate daily operations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
  • Motivate staff to achieve their full potential and contribute to the organization's success.
  • Plan and control budget and expenditures to ensure effective use of resources.
  • Plan and organize daily operations to ensure smooth execution of tasks and projects.
  • Review HR projects to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Train staff to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with organizational standards.
  • Plan, develop, and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
  • Manage training and development strategies to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Oversee the analysis of employee data and information to inform HR decisions.
  • Oversee the development of communication strategies to engage employees and stakeholders.
  • Oversee the preparation of reports to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Advise senior management on HR-related matters.
  • Respond to employee questions and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Liaise with management, union officials, and HR consultants to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Negotiate collective agreements on behalf of employers or workers.
  • Organize staff consultation and grievance procedures to ensure a fair and transparent process.
  • Oversee payroll administration to ensure accurate and timely payment of employees.
  • Recruit and hire staff to fill vacant positions.
  • Coach employees to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct performance reviews to evaluate employee performance and provide feedback.
  • Evaluate work environments, programs, and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury.
Supervision:

The Human Resources Manager will supervise a team of 11-15 people.

Computer and Technology Knowledge:

The Human Resources Manager should have proficiency in MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, and MS Word.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

The Human Resources Manager should be able to work independently, manage tight deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.

Personal Suitability:

The Human Resources Manager should possess excellent oral and written communication skills, flexibility, a team player attitude, and accountability.
