Job Overview:

The Canadian Disaster Response Organization (CDRO) is committed to providing exceptional service across three primary portfolios: Deployment Services, Advisory Services, and Educational Services. The Crisis Response Specialist - Deployment Services will play a pivotal role in executing assignments and generating necessary deliverables.

Deployment Services entails the provision of essential support during client engagements.

Strong communication and teamwork abilities are crucial for this position. Proven experience is a prerequisite, and relevant certifications for specific role activities are highly valued. Successful candidates will have opportunities for mentorship to enhance their deployment expertise. Performance will be evaluated based on various metrics, including client satisfaction and deployment frequency.

Responsibilities & Duties:

A Crisis Response Specialist assigned to Deployment Services will be expected to undertake the following responsibilities:

· Availability: Must be prepared to mobilize on short notice, within 24 hours of a request, and be self-sufficient for a minimum of 24 hours during response assignments.

· Knowledge: Must possess a working understanding of the Incident Command System.

· Support: Must comprehend the needs of team counterparts and provide assistance in specific operations, techniques, and the application of tools and equipment.

· Relationships: Must cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with CDRO team members, client-designated participants, and other stakeholders affected by the emergency.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's Degree in Arts or Social Science; or a relevant diploma.

· Certifications from ICS Canada or EMO demonstrating knowledge of deployment activities.

· A minimum of 3 years of experience in emergency management.
