Job Overview

Brookfield Asset Management is seeking a dedicated professional to join our Technology Services Group (TSG) as a Global Sourcing Manager. This position plays a critical role in overseeing the sourcing strategies for technology services that support our diverse business operations.

Position Summary

The Global Sourcing Manager will report directly to the Director of Global Sourcing and will be responsible for:

  • Formulating and executing comprehensive sourcing strategies tailored to specific technology categories.
  • Leading the end-to-end strategic sourcing process to ensure optimal vendor selection and contract management.
  • Overseeing the lifecycle of contracts with various technology vendors, ensuring compliance and risk management.
  • Building and nurturing strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Exploring innovative approaches to enhance value-driven sourcing services.
  • Maintaining clear and effective communication with all parties involved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the complete sourcing lifecycle, including requirements gathering and strategy development.
  • Conduct RFx processes and lead commercial negotiations, supported by thorough analysis.
  • Facilitate vendor selection processes, including risk assessments and compliance reviews.
  • Document and present RFx outcomes and recommendations for stakeholder approval.
  • Support vendor onboarding and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiencies.
  • Address inquiries and escalations related to vendor and contract matters promptly.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related field, or equivalent experience in technology sourcing.
  • At least 3-10 years of experience in technology sourcing, including contract negotiations and vendor management.
  • Possession of a Certified Procurement Professional (CPP) or Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in sourcing categories such as Infrastructure, Cyber-Security, and End-User technologies.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to negotiate effectively.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to present to executives.
  • Familiarity with Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities.

This role is based in Toronto and does not require travel.
