Job Title: Director of Claims Operations

Optimum General Inc. is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our claims operations team. As a key member of our senior management team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing claims policies, procedures, and guidelines that align with our company vision and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and update claims policies, standards, procedures, and reserving guidelines
  • Ensure claims policies and practices take into consideration market trends and company objectives
  • Provide support to branch management to ensure technical competencies of local claims management
  • Conduct audits to verify compliance with policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Approve claim settlements exceeding branch authority
  • Liaise with senior management to provide periodic and ad-hoc reports
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education
  • Minimum 15 years of direct claims handling experience
  • Five years of leadership experience
  • CIP or FCIP designation
  • Working knowledge of Ontario Auto and SABS
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills
