Position Overview

The Quality Assurance Technician will operate under the guidance of the Technical Design and Quality Assurance Supervisor. This role requires close collaboration with Technical Designers across various departments and the product teams, as well as overseas suppliers. The primary responsibility is to uphold the quality of samples and ensure adherence to the company's established quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct measurements on pre-production, production, and TOP-shipping samples, perform conformity assessments, and complete style documentation.
  • Assist Technical Designers with sample measurements prior to fitting sessions as needed.
  • Request additional or random inspections at the Distribution Center to investigate defective items and generate inspection reports.
  • Assess the quality of fabrics based on specific characteristics such as weight, fiber content, and construction.
  • Execute wash tests on finished fabrics and garments.
  • Receive and validate laboratory test results on fabrics from recognized testing organizations.
  • Review inspection reports from third-party inspectors, interpret results, and ensure compliance with quality criteria.
  • Centralize laboratory test reports and inspection findings within the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
  • Establish and maintain follow-up procedures related to inspections and quality controls with manufacturing partners.
  • Assign reference codes and manage fabric naming conventions in the PLM system.
  • Ensure care labels, fiber content, and label positioning conform to established standards.
  • Provide support to the technical design and quality assurance teams.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance, either in import or domestic settings.
  • Familiarity with lingerie, swimwear, sleepwear, and bra products is advantageous.
  • Strong production knowledge is essential.
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken, is required for effective communication with international suppliers.
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and PLM systems are necessary.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
