Role Summary

The Finance and Procurement division is looking for a dynamic and innovative leader to oversee essential services, including the strategic planning, execution, and management of financial operations, procurement processes, and logistical support. This role is crucial for ensuring the effective delivery of services aligned with IPAC's mission.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing standards and directing the execution of financial, procurement, and logistical services.
  • Overseeing the preparation and monitoring of strategic and annual business plans and budgets.
  • Identifying and implementing strategic initiatives and process enhancements across the division.
  • Developing project proposals and business plans that align with IPAC's broader strategic objectives.
  • Contributing to financial and operational planning activities and providing corporate support across all units.
  • Leading the Finance and Procurement teams, managing staff, operational plans, and budgets.
  • Preparing annual submissions for financial estimates and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Collaborating with external auditors to facilitate annual audits.
  • Researching best practices in financial management and procurement in various jurisdictions.
  • Interpreting legislative impacts and updating corporate policies and procedures accordingly.
  • Participating in strategic leadership discussions to identify initiatives and develop proposals that meet organizational goals.

Qualifications

  • A Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years in a leadership role, ideally within a multifaceted environment.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of senior management practices, strategic planning, and organizational management.
  • Proven experience in project management, budgeting, financial oversight, procurement, and logistics.
  • Familiarity with relevant federal and provincial legislation.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Work Environment

The successful candidate will be required to work in-office; however, flexible work arrangements may be available based on operational needs.
