Job Title: Sr. Corp. Counsel Legal

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Corporate Counsel to join our legal team at Advanced Micro Devices (AMD). The successful candidate will provide expert legal advice and guidance on employment law matters for our Canada locations, working closely with our HR, Ethics and Compliance, Health & Safety, and business unit leaders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide counsel on employment law matters, including hiring, employment, and end of employment, for AMD's Canada locations and Latin America.
  • Offer guidance on internal investigations in HR-related matters for our Canada locations.
  • Provide statutory and other HR-compliance guidance in Canada.
  • Collaborate with outside counsel and other team members on multi-jurisdictional employment law project areas, such as disability accommodation processes.
  • Support M&A activities in employment law areas as assigned.
  • Train clients and business groups on employment law topics of importance.
  • Work closely with other AMD lawyers and paralegals.
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience as a practicing lawyer with in-house or industry-specific legal experience in Canada.
  • Progressive work history with in-house and/or private practice experience in employment law matters in Canada.
  • Proficiency in partnering with clients to provide practical solutions while mitigating risk.
  • Ability to work remotely with clients, colleagues, and business partners in the US and other international regions.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, multitasking abilities, and ability to navigate a matrixed organization.
Academic Credentials:
  • Bachelor Degree in Law (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD).
  • Membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
