About the Role

Baker Tilly KDN LLP is seeking a highly skilled and experienced accounting professional to fill the position of Supervisor, Accounting. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising staff, preparing financial accounts, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our clients' financial information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and mentor staff to ensure the successful completion of accounting tasks and projects.
  • Prepare and review financial accounts, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Identify and resolve engagement issues, ensuring that all financial information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Develop and maintain positive and productive working relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Assist with training and onboarding of new staff accountants and CPA/Co-op students.
Requirements
  • University degree in commerce or accounting.
  • 3 to 5 years' experience at a public accounting firm.
  • 3 years of audit and assurance experience, preferably ASPE, NPO audit experience is an asset.
  • CPA designation.
  • Strong knowledge of CaseWare, Caseview, Taxprep, QuickBooks Online, Simply Accounting.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, and ability to take ownership and problem solve.
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines, which can be conflicting with one another.
  • A high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to work and learn.
