Therapist, Mental Health and Addictions Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Therapist, Mental Health and Addictions Specialist to join our team at CB Canada. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals struggling with mental health and addiction issues.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify treatment needs and develop personalized care plans.
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions using evidence-based approaches, including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and discharge planning.
- Develop and lead psycho-educational sessions to promote patient understanding and empowerment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices in mental health and addiction treatment.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a recognized Social Sciences program with addiction-specific education.
- Valid registration with the relevant college or governing body in Ontario, such as the Ontario College of Registered Psychotherapists (CRPO).
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in group and individual counseling, with a focus on mental health and addiction.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Strong knowledge of addiction treatment modalities, including chemical dependence, gambling, and concurrent psychiatric disorders.
