About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Therapist, Mental Health & Addiction Specialist to join our team at CB Canada. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments for mental health and addiction issues, guiding treatment planning and interventions.
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed approaches, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
  • Offer support and education to family members, promoting healthy relationships and coping strategies.
  • Develop and present psycho-educational sessions, enhancing patient understanding and empowerment.
  • Liaise with referral sources and community organizations, ensuring seamless care coordination.
  • Support patient discharge planning, connecting them with relevant community resources and outpatient services.
  • Participate in quality initiatives, tracking and monitoring key performance indicators.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a recognized Social Sciences program, with addiction-specific education.
  • Valid registration with the relevant college or governing body in Ontario, such as the Ontario College of Registered Psychotherapists (CRPO).
  • Certification in Addiction Counselling (ICADC) or equivalent preferred.
  • Membership with the Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation (CACCF) or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in group and individual counseling, with a focus on mental health and addiction.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of addictions and continuum of care, with a commitment to evidence-based practices.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
