Due to our ongoing expansion, we are seeking to enhance our team of Therapists within the Addiction Medicine Program. As a Therapist specializing in Mental Health & Addiction, you will play a crucial role in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team focused on providing comprehensive services and programs to our clients.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Conduct assessments to inform treatment planning and coordinate care.
  • Deliver case management services, including planning, coordination, and evaluation of client progress.
  • Facilitate individual and group psychotherapy using evidence-based methodologies such as Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed Care, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
  • Support family members through individual and group sessions, and lead educational workshops.
  • Collaborate closely with Physicians and the clinical team to monitor patient experiences and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Oversee discharge planning and connect clients with appropriate community resources.
  • Identify discharge needs based on thorough patient assessments.
  • Lead the establishment of treatment goals and collaborate with patients and team members to create actionable steps.
  • Guide the team in monitoring and evaluating treatment plan progress.
  • Serve as the primary communication link among patients, the team, and the program.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a recognized Social Science field with specialized education in addiction.
  • Membership in good standing with the relevant regulatory body in Ontario or working towards relevant credentials.
  • Proficiency in CBT, DBT, and other evidence-based treatment approaches for complex mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Demonstrated experience in assessment and treatment using evidence-based practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and coordinate an interdisciplinary team effectively.
  • Experience in individual and group counseling, including delivering psycho-educational content.
  • Capacity to implement inclusive and culturally responsive practices.
  • Knowledge of addiction issues and concurrent disorders across a continuum of care.
  • Valid Ontario driver's license and access to a vehicle as needed.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation such as the Mental Health Act and Health Care Consent Act.
