Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Maintenance
    • Prepare patients for dental examinations, ensuring their comfort and safety.
    • Prepare plaster models and moulds, adhering to high standards of quality and accuracy.
    • Maintain and order dental and office supplies, ensuring a well-stocked and efficient laboratory.
  • Administrative and Reception Duties
    • Perform administrative functions, including scheduling and confirming appointments.
    • Record dental procedures performed on patients, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
    • Invoice patients for dental services, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
  • Education and Training
    • Educate patients concerning oral hygiene, promoting good oral health practices.
    • Train other dental laboratory assistants, sharing knowledge and expertise.
  • Screening and Experience
    • Screen candidates for dental assistant positions, ensuring they meet the necessary qualifications and experience.
    • Assess the experience of candidates, evaluating their skills and abilities.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a dental laboratory setting.
