About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team at Dr. M. Khojasteh Dentistry Professional Corporation. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental laboratory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Maintenance
    • Prepare patients for dental examinations, ensuring their comfort and safety.
    • Prepare plaster models and moulds, adhering to high standards of quality and accuracy.
    • Maintain and order dental and office supplies, ensuring our laboratory is well-stocked and equipped.
  • Administrative and Reception Duties
    • Perform administrative functions, including scheduling and confirming appointments.
    • Record dental procedures performed on patients, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
    • Invoice patients for dental services, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
  • Support and Education
    • Educate patients concerning oral hygiene, promoting good oral health practices.
    • Polish teeth and clinical crowns, applying fluoride and sealant as needed.
    • Prepare wax bite-blocks and impression trays, ensuring precision and accuracy.
  • Screening and Health Benefits
    • Screen applicants for the role, ensuring they meet the necessary qualifications and requirements.
    • Provide information on health benefits, including dental and healthcare plans.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language and Communication
    • Fluency in English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
