About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team at Dr. M. Khojasteh Dentistry Professional Corporation. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental laboratory and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Maintenance
    • Prepare patients for dental examinations, ensuring their comfort and safety.
    • Prepare plaster models and moulds for dental restorations.
    • Maintain and order dental and office supplies to ensure a well-stocked laboratory.
  • Administrative and Reception Duties
    • Perform administrative functions, including scheduling and confirming appointments.
    • Record dental procedures performed on patients and maintain accurate records.
    • Invoice patients for dental services and handle financial transactions.
  • Support and Education
    • Educate patients on oral hygiene and provide guidance on maintaining good oral health.
    • Polish teeth and clinical crowns, and apply fluoride and sealant as needed.
    • Prepare wax bite-blocks and impression trays for dental procedures.
  • Screening and Health Benefits
    • Screen patients for eligibility and ensure they meet the necessary requirements.
    • Provide information on health benefits, including dental and healthcare plans.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a dental laboratory or related field.
