Position Overview: The Corporate Legal Advisor plays a pivotal role in the Saskatchewan healthcare landscape, collaborating with system leaders to fulfill the province's healthcare objectives. Reporting directly to the Executive Director of Labour and Employee Relations, the Corporate Legal Advisor is tasked with delivering legal assistance, advice, and strategic direction to the Saskatchewan Health Authority and its affiliated entities. Legal counsel will encompass both in-scope and out-of-scope employment matters, providing legal opinions and training on statutes, case law, and collective agreement interpretations.

The incumbent will represent the Saskatchewan Health Authority and its affiliates in grievance arbitrations and administrative hearings, including proceedings before the Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission, Saskatchewan Labour Relations Board, and various matters in Saskatchewan Courts, such as judicial review applications.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD)

Licensing Requirements:

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
