Position Title: After-Hours Service Worker

Under the supervision of the After Hours Supervisor, the After-Hours Service Worker plays a crucial role in delivering crisis intervention services during evenings and weekends. This position involves responding to reports of child maltreatment and providing immediate protective measures when required. The responsibilities include de-escalating crises and stabilizing situations that arise outside of regular operational hours.

  • On-call Compensation: $5.66 to $6.62
  • Call-out Compensation: $53.19 to $62.23

Applicants must identify as First Nations, Metis, or Inuit. Strong communication skills are essential. A Bachelor of Social Work degree is preferred, along with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a social services environment. Familiarity with Niijaansinaanik programs and Anishinabek culture is necessary, as well as knowledge of First Nation service delivery practices.

Candidates must provide a Police Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Check. A Class 'G' Ontario Driver's License, access to a vehicle, and $1M automobile insurance are required. A three-year uncertified driver's abstract is also necessary.
