Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at BEST WESTERN PLUS. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of service and quality in our food and beverage operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Operations Management
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, minimizing waste and optimizing inventory.
    • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that all customers receive exceptional service, responding promptly to their needs and concerns.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Prepare and submit reports on sales, inventory, and other key performance indicators.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • At least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service or hospitality role.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff and customers.
    • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing situations.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on attention to detail and quality control.
Work Environment

This role requires the ability to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with frequent standing for extended periods. The work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, requiring a high level of energy and stamina.
