Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Kitimat Subs Ltd.

Job Summary:

The Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service establishment, ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards, and supervising a team of food service staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure efficient food preparation and service.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, including training staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Prepare and submit reports, including budget and cost estimates.
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns and maintain a positive customer service experience.
  • Supervise and check assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys.
  • Establish work schedules and supervise a team of 1 to 2 people, including food service counter attendants, food preparers, kitchen and food service helpers.
Requirements:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service establishment.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility and ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Working Conditions:
  • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods.
  • Physically demanding work, requiring bending, crouching, and kneeling.
Language:

English is the primary language of communication in this role.

Work Schedule:

30 to 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work a variety of shifts.
