Logistics Support Intern

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Support Intern to join our team at Seaspan Shipyards. As a key member of our Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) team, you will assist in the successful completion of Systems Engineering tasks and gain hands-on experience in marine mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities- Review and verify equipment Part Numbers, NATO Cage Codes, and related technical data for cataloging purposes.
- Evaluate and obtain supplementary vendor-furnished information needed to catalog systems and present this information at provisioning conferences.
- Arrange meetings with VSY suppliers in conjunction with VSY Supply Chain buyers or attend supplier progress meetings to address requests for information.
- Systems Engineering principles and practices.
- Reliability, availability, and maintainability concepts.
- Configuration management and through-life support.
- Enrollment in a Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Mechatronic Engineering degree program.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Strong technical skills, including the ability to read and interpret technical specifications and drawings.
- Excellent digital literacy, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
