Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at Acme Logistics Ltd. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for driving semi-trailer trucks to transport goods and materials across the country.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
  • Load and unload goods
  • Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Perform brake adjustments
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption

Requirements:

  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks)
  • Valid passport
  • Driver's validity licence check
  • Driving record check (abstract)
  • Drug test

What We Offer:

  • 50 to 60 hours per week

  • Will train
