Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Qualicum Quality Care Services Ltd.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to our residents, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary health team to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
Responsibilities:- Assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician, and monitor patients' responses to care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care, including collaborating with other healthcare professionals, families, and caregivers.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on health-related topics, including disease management and prevention.
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff, ensuring that they provide high-quality care and adhere to established policies and procedures.
- Current registration with the provincial or territorial nursing regulatory authority.
- Valid CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Experience working in a long-term care setting, preferably in geriatrics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
