Join School District #75 (Mission) as a Labourer-Facilities and contribute to the maintenance of our facilities.

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Labourer-Facilities to provide maintenance support for our facilities department. As a Labourer-Facilities, you will work under the direction of the Director of Facilities and with the general supervision of the Foreman.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain mechanical spaces in an orderly manner, including organization, sweeping, vacuuming, and wiping down of equipment.
  • Perform manual work and routine maintenance activities for the Facilities department.
  • Provide labour assistance with new construction, building maintenance, drainage systems, grounds maintenance, and repair of furniture and equipment.
  • Replace air filters.
  • Transport items between schools, such as filing cabinets, chairs, desks, staging, materials, and supplies.
  • Dispose of items as required.
Requirements
  • Secondary school graduation.
  • Valid B.C. Class 5 driver's license; a driver's abstract to be provided annually.
  • A minimum of six (6) months experience in a similar role.
Working Conditions

The Labourer-Facilities will work in a fast-paced environment and will be required to lift materials, work in confined spaces, and work in extreme temperature conditions (hot and cold).
