Job Title: Part Time Support

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part Time Support professional to join our team at Karis Disability Services.

About the Role

The successful candidate will assist with activities of daily living and promote life development as outlined in person-centered plans. This will be achieved through collaboration with their team, families, advocates, friends, and community partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with activities of daily living, including personal care and hygiene
  • Promote life development through person-centered planning and goal setting
  • Collaborate with team members, families, and community partners to achieve individualized goals
  • Provide reports on clinical interventions and participate in team meetings
  • Respond effectively and calmly in crisis situations using verbal de-escalation and physical interventions
Requirements
  • Developmental Service Worker Diploma or Apprenticeship, Child and Youth Care Diploma (CYC) preferred or related education
  • Advanced computer skills, including MS Word and Excel
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including days, afternoons, evenings, and weekends
