Position Overview

The Hotel Receptionist plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience for guests at our establishment. This position involves various responsibilities that contribute to the smooth operation of the front desk.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
Work Environment

This role is situated within the hospitality sector, specifically in a hotel, motel, or resort setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Register incoming guests and allocate rooms accordingly.
  • Handle group arrivals and departures efficiently.
  • Oversee room reservations and manage booking systems.
  • Provide detailed information regarding hotel amenities and services.
  • Process guest check-outs and handle payment transactions.
  • Maintain accurate cash balances and complete necessary documentation.
  • Keep track of room assignments and reservation statuses.
  • Adhere to emergency and safety protocols.
  • Perform various clerical tasks as needed.
  • Answer phone inquiries and relay messages promptly.
  • Assist guests with special requirements or requests.
  • Deliver wake-up calls to guests as requested.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service is provided at all times.
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in operating multi-line switchboards.
  • Familiarity with database and bookkeeping software.
  • Experience with central reservation systems (CRS).
  • Competent in using spreadsheets and navigating the Internet.
Security Requirements
  • Successful completion of a criminal record check is mandatory.
Transportation and Accessibility
  • Public transportation options are readily available.
Work Conditions
  • This position requires a keen attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods is essential.
