About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Counter Attendant to join our team at Saanichton Coffee Shop. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet and serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner, taking orders and handling payments with a smile.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, including portioning and wrapping foods to order.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean and maintain the food counter, tables, and surrounding areas to ensure a clean and safe environment for customers.
  • Inventory Management: Restock refrigerators and salad bars as needed, and keep records of food quantities used.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient service, and contribute to a positive and supportive team culture.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn on the job.
  • Language: English language proficiency required.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work varying shifts.
