About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Professional to join our team at Y & J Trading Ltd. as a Kitchen Supervisor. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring that all food is prepared and served to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet the needs of our customers.
    • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization.
  • Team Management
    • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to maintain high standards.
    • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Inventory and Supplies
    • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure efficient use and minimize waste.
    • Order supplies and equipment as needed to maintain a well-stocked kitchen.
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of energy and activity.
    • Stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads as required.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of our kitchen.
    • Organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Team player with excellent communication and leadership skills.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent position with a 30-hour workweek. The language of work is English.
