SAP PMO Manager Job Description

High Cliff Partners Inc. is seeking a highly experienced SAP PMO Manager to join our team in Toronto. As a senior leader, you will be responsible for creating and structuring a PMO from the ground up, leading a team of Project Managers, QA, and testers, and delivering full-time project management delivery activity for EGI related IT projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Proactively manage scope, cost, schedule, and risks on entire portfolios of projects to ensure maximum value is delivered to stakeholders while minimizing cost and optimizing schedules.
  • Team Leadership: Develop comprehensive project plans and schedules, including optimization, encompassing project team structure, resource assignment, and financials.
  • Project Governance: Manage projects in accordance with established client standards, following both standard PMBOK Waterfall and newer Agile methods where appropriate.
  • Program Management: Develop, manage, monitor, and deliver current and multi-year program/project plans working with Business Relationship Managers, Service Managers, and Enterprise teams.
  • Financial Management: Drive and report on financial accuracy on forecast, actual, accruals, and provide recommendations to meet financial targets.
  • Risk Management: Drive the cross-program RAID (risks, action, issues, and decision) method, tool, and process, including first-level resolution of issues and visibility/escalations to the executive leadership team where appropriate.
  • Communication: Regularly review and evaluate opportunities to improve project management best practices to achieve higher maturity within the business unit.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years or more of experience in IT and business/industry, including leading large-scale transformation.
  • Skills: Proven interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and leadership skills; demonstrated ability to be innovative, initiate, lead diverse teams, and manage as well as influence change.
  • Tools and Techniques: Strong understanding of several project management best practices, tools, and techniques, including PMI PMBOK, PRINCE2, and Agile.
  • Language: English.

Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
