The successful candidate will progress patients with acute and complex medical conditions under the supervision of the therapists, utilizing their expertise in patient care and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support occupational therapists and physiotherapists in inpatient rehab and complex transitional care units
- Progress patients with acute and complex medical conditions under supervision
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Stay up-to-date with best practices and industry developments to enhance patient care
Requirements:
- Graduate of combined OT/PTA Certificate course from an accredited college
- At least one year experience in an acute care setting preferred
- Excellent patient care skills with medical, surgical, neurological, and geriatric caseload
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to meet physical demands of a moderately heavy job
