About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Carpentry Supervisor to join our team at Skookum Scaffolding Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our carpentry crew, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Coordinate and schedule carpentry projects, ensuring that all necessary materials and equipment are available and that projects are completed efficiently.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise and mentor a team of carpenters, providing guidance and support to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to complete projects to the required standard.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular site visits to ensure that work is being carried out to the required standard and that all necessary safety protocols are being followed.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all necessary health and safety protocols are being followed, including the use of personal protective equipment and the implementation of safe working practices.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports to management, including project progress, budget updates, and any issues or concerns.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
  • Language: English
  • Work Environment: Outdoors, Noisy
  • Work Setting: Construction, Maintenance, Commercial, Industrial, Institutional
  • Transportation: Valid driver's licence
