Position: Business Risk Insurance Specialist

  • Oversee a diverse portfolio of commercial accounts by evaluating client risk exposure and claims history, recommending suitable coverage options and solutions, and crafting account strategies along with client engagement.
  • Ensure optimal portfolio retention by providing outstanding customer service, maintaining consistent communication with existing clients to surpass their expectations.
  • Address client and underwriter inquiries via phone and written correspondence promptly and professionally.
  • Identify potential client requirements through thorough research, effectively utilizing division and company resources.
  • Efficiently manage new business placements, renewals, and endorsements in a timely manner.
  • Engage in industry events and targeted public relations initiatives.
  • Cultivate extensive market relationships.
  • Supervise the preparation of underwriting submissions, ensuring accurate documentation for accounts and correspondence.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date policy expiration lists, records, and files.
  • Follow up on pending insurer information, endorsements, or policy documents.
  • Create reminders and track unresolved issues with underwriters, marketing specialists, and clients.
  • Establish appropriate procedures for claims management and loss prevention efforts.
  • Monitor and follow up on overdue client receivables.
  • Handle various tasks and special projects as needed.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • At least 5 years of experience in general commercial insurance.
  • Experience in the public sector and/or education sector is advantageous.
  • A university degree (preferably in business or finance) or equivalent professional experience.
  • AMF insurance broker license.
  • Bilingual with strong verbal and written communication skills in both French and English.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite (Excel, Outlook, and Word).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
