Risk Analysis Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Insurance Underwriter to join our team at Wawanesa Insurance. As an Insurance Underwriter, you will play a critical role in analyzing and evaluating risks to ensure that our customers receive the best possible coverage.
Key Responsibilities- Perform risk analysis using advanced technology and external data sources to determine the acceptability of business risks.
- Determine eligibility for policy renewals based on company guidelines and retention goals.
- Maintain accurate records of decisions made and ensure completeness of policy data.
- Communicate decisions and respond to requests in a prompt and professional manner.
- Assist with interpretation of rating procedures, wordings, underwriting policies, and regulations.
- Handle work assignments efficiently and effectively.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external parties to achieve team goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Three years of experience in the Property and Casualty industry.
- Post-secondary education or related business experience.
- Completed or actively pursuing a Property and Casualty Industry Designation.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and decision-making skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize daily work.
