About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of our respiratory services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field. Experience in a hospital or clinical setting is an asset.
  • Work Setting: This role will be based in a hospital or medical facility, public or community health centre, or healthcare institution.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Certificate of Registry from the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists - R.R.T.
  • Security and Safety: A criminal record check, immunization records, and vulnerable sector check will be required.
  • Screening Questions: You will be required to answer questions about your certifications and qualifications.
  • Health Benefits: We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including dental plan, disability benefits, healthcare plan, and vision care benefits.
  • Financial Benefits: As per collective agreement, you will be eligible for group insurance benefits, life insurance, and a pension plan.
  • Long-term Benefits: You will be eligible for maternity and parental benefits, as well as a permanent work term with 75 hours bi-weekly.
