About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Mechanic to join our team at Bayview Stone. As an Electrical Mechanic, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our electrical equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment, including motors, transformers, and switchgear.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot electrical issues, using your expertise to diagnose and repair problems efficiently.
  • Component Replacement: Replace or recondition components, such as shafts, bearings, and commutators, to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Welding and Machining: Perform welding and machining tasks to repair or modify equipment components.
  • Testing and Quality Control: Test repaired equipment to ensure it meets our high standards, and perform quality control checks to guarantee customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in electrical mechanics or a related field.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment, with regular exposure to heavy loads and physical demands.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel, with manual dexterity and color vision.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, excellent oral and written communication skills, and a team player attitude.
