Job Title: Electrical Mechanic

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Mechanic to join our team at Bayview Stone. As an Electrical Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment, including electric motors, transformers, and switchgear.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Test and observe electrical and mechanical conditions of equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators, and other electro-mechanical equipment
  • Replace or recondition shafts, bearings, commutators, and other components
  • Weld or braze components
  • Perform some machining to recondition or modify shafts, commutators, or other parts
  • Test and repair or replace faulty wiring or components in electrical switchgear
  • Test repaired motors, transformers, switchgear, or other electrical apparatus to ensure proper performance
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • 30 hours per week
Work Environment:

The work environment is physically demanding, with handling heavy loads, standing for extended periods, and bending, crouching, and kneeling. The ability to distinguish between colors and manual dexterity are also required.
