Job Title: International Trade Finance Advisor

Export Development Canada (EDC) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced International Trade Finance Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our International and Export Credit Agencies Relations Team, you will play a critical role in shaping EDC's global trade finance strategy and building relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of global trade finance trends, policies, and regulations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including export credit agencies, multilateral institutions, and Canadian government officials.
  • Provide strategic advice to EDC's leadership on trade finance matters, including product development, risk management, and market analysis.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure EDC's trade finance products and services meet the evolving needs of Canadian exporters.
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging trade finance trends and technologies, and identify opportunities for EDC to innovate and stay ahead of the curve.
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Public Policy, International Relations, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in trade finance, international business development, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop strategic recommendations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with data visualization tools.
