Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Building Operations Specialist to join our team at JLL. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of various building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to tenant and user service calls and complaints in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Perform work in one or more of the maintenance trades, including carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, etc.
  • Provide assistance to other building operations staff in areas such as preventative maintenance, electrical maintenance, etc.
  • Perform water treatment testing and analysis, and adjust chemical feed to ensure proper levels are maintained.
  • Act as relief for other similar positions when the incumbent is absent.
  • Complete custodial housekeeping tasks in mechanical and electrical areas.
  • Perform other related duties as required and reasonably assigned.

Requirements:

  • 3 years' experience in building repairs and operations.
  • Completion of a BES certificate or trade school is an asset.
  • Basic interpersonal skills demonstrating professionalism and commitment to service excellence.
  • Basic verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to comprehend issues and resolve them.
  • Aptitude to learn state-of-the-art Building Automation Systems.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to react swiftly and accurately to crisis situations.
  • Ability to perform the requirements of the job with minimal supervision and complete tasks per agreed deadlines.
