Senior Network Systems Administrator

About the Opportunity
Wind River seeks a skilled Senior Network Systems Administrator to join our international IT team. You will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing our global enterprise network, ensuring seamless connectivity for our operations worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical support across various networking disciplines, including Cisco Routing and Switching, Network Security, Network Management, Palo Alto Firewall Services, Silverpeak WAN Optimization, Aruba Wireless Systems, and IP/Voice services.
- Mentor Tier 1 engineers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to foster a collaborative learning environment.
- Deliver Tier 3 network, firewall, and voice infrastructure support, resolving complex issues with efficiency and precision.
- Manage strategic projects and initiatives within our intricate infrastructure, generating device configurations and ensuring successful implementation.
- Proactively troubleshoot infrastructure problems, addressing response time issues, circuit outages, misrouting of data/voice calls, and other network disruptions.
- Oversee the ordering and management of voice and data circuits, ensuring timely resolution of billing concerns and efficient disconnection procedures for closed locations.
- Coordinate the installation of new circuits and relocations of existing ones, maintaining a smooth and organized network infrastructure.
- Collaborate effectively within a global engineering team, contributing your expertise to shared projects and initiatives.
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to work outside of standard business hours, including weekends and on-call support for critical issues.
- Work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and initiative.
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely.
- Exhibit strong project management skills, effectively planning, executing, and delivering projects on time and within budget.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience in voice/data communications.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- CCNP certification or equivalent experience.
- In-depth knowledge and practical experience with Palo Alto NG Firewall Systems, including advanced functionalities.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco Routers and Switches, encompassing advanced configurations and troubleshooting techniques.
- Thorough understanding of telecommunications technologies (Internet, MPLS) is essential.
- Proficiency in network monitoring tools and diagnostic techniques.
