About the Opportunity

The successful candidate will join an international team of IT Administrators at Wind River to provide daily support for a global enterprise network. The candidate will independently design, support, troubleshoot, and maintain the enterprise network, including routing, switching, LAN, and WAN services. The candidate will also document standards, implementation procedures, and troubleshooting processes. The role requires strong technical knowledge in networking within one or more disciplines, including Cisco Routing and Switching, Network Security, and Network Management.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including routing, switching, and WAN services.
  • Provide Tier 3 network, firewall, and voice infrastructure support.
  • Mentor Tier 1 engineers and manage strategic projects/issues in a complex infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure problems, including response time issues, downed circuits, misrouting of data/voice calls, etc.
  • Coordinate installation of new circuits and moves of existing circuits.
  • Work in a global engineering team environment and be willing to work other than normal business hours, including project work during weekends, and response to pager/cell phone 24x7.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in voice/data communications.
  • College degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • CCNP or equivalent experiences.
  • Senior level hands-on knowledge of Palo Alto NG Firewall Systems, including advanced functionality.
  • Senior level hands-on knowledge of Cisco Router and Switches, including advanced functionality.
  • Senior level hands-on understanding of telecommunications technologies (Internet, and MPLS) is required.

Security Clearance Requirements

The successful candidate must engage in a security clearance process in regards to their citizenship in order to perform fundamental job duties, as per applicable law.
