Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Communicative Disorders Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide communication and hearing screenings, implement communication intervention programs, and work with children and youth with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide communication and hearing screenings
- Implement communication intervention programs individually and in groups
- Work with children and youth with complex needs
- Prepare therapy materials to assist Speech-Language Pathologists
- Plan therapy sessions for clients on the caseload
- Assist with program management and waitlist
- Participate in promotional activities
- Successful completion of a Communicative/Communication Disorders Assistant program at a recognized college/university
- Sound understanding and skill in the practice of Communication Disorders
- Ability to work effectively with children, youth, and families
- Ability to manage changing caseloads
- Ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team
- Bilingualism considered an asset
- Current CPR and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certifications
- Access to a vehicle and possession of a valid driver's license
