About the Role

Niagara Children's Centre is seeking a skilled Communicative Disorders Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide communication and hearing screenings, implement communication intervention programs, and assist with program management and waitlist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide communication and hearing screenings for children and youth
  • Implement communication intervention programs individually and in groups
  • Assist with program management and waitlist
  • Prepare therapy materials to assist SLPs
  • Plan therapy sessions for clients on the CDA caseload
Requirements
  • Successful completion of a Communicative/Communication Disorders Assistant program at a recognized college/university
  • A sound understanding and skill in the practice of Communication Disorders
  • Ability to work effectively with children, youth, and families
  • Ability to manage changing caseload
  • Ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team
