Health Care Support Worker

About the Role
The Health Care Support Worker will provide non-direct and non-clinical healthcare support to clients, residents, families, and visitors in long-term care, assisted living, and home settings. This role will work under the guidance of the Administrator, Registered Nurse, or another regulated healthcare professional.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to clients and residents in daily living activities
- Assist with maintaining a safe and clean environment
- Communicate effectively with clients, residents, families, and visitors
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to achieve care goals
Requirements
- Completion of Grade 10, including English 10
- English Language Proficiency Test (e.g., CLBPT, IELTS, TOEFL, IBT)
- No prior completion of an HCA training program in BC
- Canadian citizenship or permanent residency
- Ability to work full-time for 3–6 months as a trainee and attend college full-time for 6 months in a Health Care Assistant Program

Compensation & Benefits
Your total compensation includes a wage outlined by Fraser Health's HCAP program. Eligible for extended health and dental benefits following six months of employment. You will be welcomed into a warm and supportive work environment.
