Health Care Support Worker

About the Role
The Health Care Support Worker will provide non-direct and non-clinical healthcare support to clients, residents, families, and visitors in long-term care, assisted living, and home settings. This role is part of the Health Career Access Program (HCAP), which provides paid training and education to individuals aspiring to pursue a healthcare career.
Responsibilities
- Work under the guidance of the Administrator, Registered Nurse, or another regulated healthcare professional to provide support to clients and residents.
- Align duties with established care plans and safety protocols.
- Work out of our Evergreen Community, located in White Rock, BC.
Requirements
- Completion of Grade 10, including the successful completion of English 10, or equivalency.
- For candidates whose first language is not English, successful completion of an English Language Proficiency Test is required.
- No prior completion of an HCA training program in BC.
- Canadian citizenship or permanent residency.
- The candidate must be able to work full-time for 3–6 months as a trainee and attend college full-time for 6 months in a Health Care Assistant Program which includes a practicum and preceptorship.

Compensation & Benefits
Your total compensation includes a wage of $24.80 outlined by Fraser Health's HCAP program. Eligible for extended health and dental following six months employment until end of HCAP schooling. You will be welcomed into a warm and supportive work environment.
