Orthopaedic Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Orthopaedic Technician certified Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Vernon Jubilee Hospital in Vernon, BC.
Key Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive assessments and develop plans for personal and nursing care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Under the direction of a physician or nurse practitioner, provide orthopaedic care by assessing and evaluating patient condition, reviewing x-rays, and performing duties such as applying casts and splints.
- Operate within the scope of practice as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives and according to organizational policies and protocols.
This is a permanent part-time (0.47 FTE) opportunity with a variety of shifts, including days and evenings, rotating from 09:00 to 17:00 and 14:00 to 22:00 hours.
About the LocationVernon Jubilee Hospital offers a range of services, including core physician specialties, 24-hour emergency and trauma services, and acute and obstetrical care.
Qualifications- Graduation from a BCCNM recognized practical nursing education program plus completion of formal post-basic education in Orthopaedics, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Current practicing licensure with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives required.
