About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and friendly individual to join our team as a Food Service Team Member at Dairy Queen. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Prepare and serve food and beverages to customers in a fast-paced environment
    • Operate a cash register and process transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to customer inquiries and concerns
    • Ensure customer satisfaction by resolving issues promptly and professionally
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales and customer service goals
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure seamless operations
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees
    • Participate in mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees
  • Support for Indigenous People
    • Participate in cultural competency training and awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on customer satisfaction
    • Work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Requirements
  • Education
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Experience
    • Will train on the job
  • Language
    • English language proficiency required
  • Availability
    • Available to work 30-40 hours per week
