Produce Department Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Produce Department Manager to join our team at NOFRILLS.
Responsibilities:- Train and develop staff to ensure they understand policies and procedures, and can effectively communicate with customers.
- Schedule department staff to meet business needs and ensure efficient operations.
- Handle customer complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety and Food Safety policies, and maintain a clean and safe store environment.
- Train and motivate staff to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
- Delegate and prioritize workload for staff, and ensure effective merchandise and advertising programs.
- Recommend sales goals and maintain up-to-date information about market trends and competitor activities.
- Ensure proper product rotation, pricing, and signage to enhance sales and profits.
- Accountable for store operations in the absence of the Franchisee, including key carrying and alarm responsibilities.
- 1-3 years of management experience, preferably in a retail or food service environment.
- 1-3 years of experience leading a produce department, with a focus on merchandising, inventory management, and customer service.
- Experience working in meat, deli, and bakery is an asset.
- Demonstrated understanding of critical success factors for the NOFRILLS concept, including low price image and customer satisfaction.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Ability to manage people, prioritize tasks, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
